The Glen Hotel, Serving South East Brisbane for 147 years...
The Glen Hotel is a family owned and operated Hotel located in Eight Mile Plains on the corner of Logan Road and Gaskell St. First purchased back in 1863, the Glen was the last stop into Brisbane for the Cobb & Co Coaches – Eight Miles from Brisbane.
The Glen Hotel has come a long way since those days and is now one of the largest, most diverse Hotels in South East Brisbane. With a huge, air-conditioned, Silk Lined Special Events Marquee; our Heritage Room (suitable for any style of function); our a la carte Glen Restaurant; The Deck Bar and Casual Dining; Gold Strike Gaming and Thirsty Camel Drive Thru.
From the after work drink with friends, to the formal dinner with family, the big night out, or the large event to celebrate, The Glen Hotel is perfect for all occasions.
On Thursday the 21st of October 2010, The Iconic Glen Hotel celebrated its 50 year milestone as a part of the Fitzgibbons family. Since 1960 The Glen Hotel has been through many facelifts, which has seen it turn from this well known watering hole, into the vicarious and well known establishment that we know and love today, this is a testament to the patience and experience invested by the Fitzgibbons family.
The Glen Hotel recently hosted our annual ‘Go Pink’ fundraiser, to help raise awareness for breast cancer. Each year we host a lovely three course luncheon in our amazing silk lined marquee. With the support of local businesses and other generous supporters from the hospitality industry, we are able to auction off some attractive packages, which resulted in The Glen Hotel's ability to contribute $29,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
